Manly Parramatta Eels CEO, Rob Simmons, has announced the first packers of the upcoming season, and the team has already made a splash with their inaugural 2015 season.
While the first packs will be designed for a range of purposes, the idea is to keep things simple and simple to get the most out of the packs.
“The idea is for the first year of the season to be very focused on the core players, as well as the players that have been part of the Eels history, and then as the season progresses we’ll start to bring in some of the new players and try and take them through to the next level,” Simmons told NRL Tonight.
“In the beginning of the year we were doing a little bit of the work of getting the team into shape, which is something we are all very keen to do.”
Then as we get into the pre-season and the season begins we will start to get some of these guys in shape and then we’ll see where it takes us from there.
“I think the core is very strong, so we have a lot of the players who have played together and we are hoping that we can get them to play together.”
Manly Parrams Eels will take on the Cronulla Sharks in the NRL pre-quarters on Saturday, March 28.
