A guitar packing bag that fell from a shelf on the shelves of a Nashville store this week was filled with a ton of guitars, according to the company that makes the box.
Owner of The Guitar Packaging Company, Chris F. Johnson, told ABC News that he and a friend were out shopping and spotted the box on the rack and thought it might be used for other items, so they picked it up.
The box had a box of guitars in it, including a Les Paul Custom II Custom, a Gibson ES-335 Custom and a Les Parker Custom, Johnson said.
The owner of the Guitar Packing Company said the guitar boxes are shipped to his shop from New York and are typically delivered by FedEx, but he said he was unaware of any incident in Nashville.
Johnson said the box was filled to capacity with guitars, but did not know how much they were worth.
“This was a very large box, I can’t really say how much is inside it,” he said.
“I’m going to try and take it to the bank and see if it’s worth something.”
Johnson said he plans to take the guitar box to the Tennessee Fair, which he has been invited to attend.
